Pet day
It's pet day and everyone is exited. Today there will be heaps of pets, Lego creations, flowers and art work on display and of course there will be egg painting and sand saucers too! Luckily there will be heaps of judges so there is always a chance that you could win!

Te Kupu o te Wiki: Tāwhirimātea
Ever since Te Wiki o te Reo Māori (Maori Language week), we have been learning a new kupu (word) each week. Some weeks, it is easy to fit the word into a conversation. When we had engari (but) it was easy: Meg is good at tennis, engari Sophie is better!
This week's kupu is Tāwhirimātea - god of wind and storms. We think this will be a bit harder to fit into conversation! Here is a short video about Tāwhirimātea:

Tech
Today at tech we are making funny cars. We get to chose what we want our cars to look like.
We are given a piece of wood and Mr Hardwood teaches us how to cut the windows out and gives us a plan to complete.

Elections 2014 - Kids Voting
This year, our teacher signed us up for Kids Voting as part of the 2014 Elections. We've learned a little bit about the way our government is chosen, and what they do for us. The best part is, we got to have our say by filling in our Kids Voting ballot forms! We even did the count of voting papers from the Moa team in the same way that the officials will do the count on Election night. It will be interesting to see if our votes match what happens across New Zealand on Election Day.
Time After Time Field Day
What an amazing day we had today! Lots of information to take in, and some fabulous displays to see!
